This paper analyzes evolution and efficiency of water governance in Bulgarian agriculture during post-communist transition and EU integration. First, it defines the water governance and the scope. Strategies for reducing water-related conflicts exist, including improvements in technology, more sustainable water supply and demand options, and a wide range of legal, political, and institutional tools.

But unless these are more quickly and widely deployed, the risks of conflicts over water seems likely to continue to worsen. Much of the world’s population lacks adequate clean water, either because of physical scarcity or because they are denied equitable access to water resources.

Such conditions inevitably breed conflict. Water-related violence is common in many parts of the world and is generally expected to increase in the years ahead. This document is intended to assist water development.

The United Nations recognizes that water disputes result from opposing interests of water users, public or private. A wide range of water conflicts appear throughout history, though rarely are traditional wars waged over water alone.

Food security and water governance are deeply intertwined - and challenged by local and global inequality. Helle Munk Ravnborg. Two chapters of the book Mikkel Funder and colleagues describe how rural poor households respond to and are affected by local water-related conflicts.

The chapter illustrates how – if unchecked – attempts.Cambodia has abundant water resources in the wet season and a scarcity of water in the dry season. These phenomena undermine the development in this country and pose a threat to long-term development.

Hence, the governance of water becomes critically important for the current and future development of Cambodia. Thus, this study is undertaken to understand the current water governance Cited by: 2.To many in the water sector, K. J. Joy needs no introduction.
